Honeybee Hills is a gorgeous wedding venue located in Liberty, West Virginia. Ally and Derek had their wedding here and had a unique surprise… their dog Sadie, was the flower girl!

When we met Ally and Derek for their engagement session in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, we learned a ton about them! We learned they were huge Vampire Diaries fans, and that they loved their dog Sadie.

When we called them for their pre-wedding FaceTime, you could see the excitement all over Ally and Derek. They were so excited to finally become husband and wife. Having been together since age 14, it was well past due.

Wedding Day at Honeybee Hills

When we arrived at the venue, you could see how beautiful they had decorated everything. From Derek’s family’s honey inside the barn, to the beautiful communion area on the porch, everything about Ally and Derek shown.

The anticipation of the day continued to build. Derek had been emotional the day before, and the emotions only snowballed from there. Ally had a glow about her that just let you know she was ready to be a bride. Even with all the rain that had been predicted, she was as happy and exuberant as ever.

There was a huge rainstorm, too. Huge gusts of wind, huge pellets of rain, but all the same, Ally and Derek would be married today.

Ceremony

We sat Ally and Derek down for their Time Capsule Video Message, tears flowed, and love filled the air. These videos are definitely videos they will be able to enjoy for years to come.

Derek made his way to the alter, everyone else following. Then, the cutest Husky dog you have ever seen trotted down the aisle with a flower crown around her neck. Sadie, Ally and Derek’s fur baby, was their flower girl!

At the ceremony, Ally and Derek exchanged some of the most heartfelt vows we have ever heard. Pastor Tom Canterbury read the blessing of Deuteronomy 28 over their marriage. Promising to love each other forever, Derek awestruck at Ally’s beauty, these vows were finally sealed with a kiss.

The kiss had been long awaited for, and smiles struck across their face as they danced back down the aisle as confetti cannons blasted. The night went on as they danced into their forever, had a blast with their friends and family, and made memories they will cherish for a lifetime.
